'Marianne', το πρώτο
δείγμα από τον επερχόμενο
νέο δίσκο των Fontaines
Εδώ, λοιπόν, η "Marianne" των Fontaines D.C., το πρώτο single από τον επερχόμενο, 5ο κατά σειρά, νέο δίσκο της Ιρλανδικής μπάντας. Το album θα ονομάζεται "Dopamine Chamber" και, ταυτόχρονα με την κυκλοφορία του single, ανακοινώθηκε και η επίσημη ημερομηνία κυκλοφορίας του album: 16 Οκτωβρίου.
Το κομμάτι είναι πολύ καλό. Οι Fontaines χρίζουν τα synths απόλυτους πρωταγωνιστές του ήχου τους και ίσως αυτό δίνει και μία ενδεχόμενη κατεύθυνση για τον ήχο του νέου album γενικότερα. Η "Marianne" είναι αιθέρια και ονειρώδης, μελαγχολική και βαθιά γοητευτική...
Άκουσα το τραγούδι στην πρεμιέρα του, σήμερα (18/8) στο BBC Radio 1. Οι παραγωγοί είπαν πως τους θύμισε πολύ Cure και U2 - το ακούω, ειδικά για τους Cure. Εμένα μου θύμισε και λίγο τα ambient του Warren Ellis με τον Cave. Όπως και να χει, here's the track - enjoy.
