Κάτι υπολείπεται, από τη σκέψη μου εσκεμμένα ασυνείδητα παραλείπεται, μία μορφή ζήλειας που δεν παραδέχομαι, μία μορφή ανεπάρκειας και αρρυθμίας που με κάνει να νιώθω λίγος και ξεχασμένος, ανυπολόγιστος με χαμηλά τα 3Α (αυτό που στη δουλειά από μόνος μου έχω ψωνίστικα εφεύρει σαν συντομογραφία της Αγίας Τριάδας 'Αυτοποεποίθηση-Αυτοεκτίμηση-Αυτοεικόνα'). Είναι κάτι που τις τελευταίες μέρες των ημερών με κάνει να μιλάω (ακόμα) λιγότερο για τον εαυτό μου, να κοιμάμαι (ακόμα) λιγότερο απ'ό,τι συνήθως και να σκέφτομαι (ακόμα) περισσότερο απ'όσο αντέχω. Στριφογυρίζω αμήχανα πάνω στο θρόνο του θεραπευτή, κουτρουβαλιάζω ατσούμπαλα πάνω στον καναπέ του αιώνιου, μα γερασμένου πια, μεντορογητευτή, επαναπροσδιορίζομαι τρεις φορές την ώρα λες κι είμαι έφηβος, ανασφαλής βυθίζομαι στο πάνθεον των αθεϊστών. Σ'εκείνων που δεν έχουν πουθενά τελικά να πιστέψουν, μονάχα μένουν μετέωροι σαν σατανιστές που φοβούνται το Διάβολο, σαν Χριστιανοί που αγαπήσαν και λυπήθηκαν τον Ιούδα, σαν γαύροι που θέλουν μα δεν μπορούν ν'αλλάξουν ομάδα... Μετά γυρίζω και κοιτάζω δύο νέα ανθρώπινα πρόσωπα, δυο ζευγάρια παιδικά μάτια που περιμένουν από μένα να συνέλθω, φτιάχνω καφέ και ξέρω πως αντέχω. Αντέχω (ακόμα) τόση αγάπη κι έχω άλλη τόση να δώσω, είμαι ένα καλό γεμάτο τίποτα έτοιμο να υπερβώ τα όρια του απείρου. Θέλω να βγω να περπατήσω στους σκοτεινούς φθινοπωρινούς δρόμους για μια ώρα τραγουδώντας φάλτσα Nick Cave, όπως έκανα μικρός όταν έτρωγα χυλόπιτες, αλλά βαριέμαι και νιώθω κουρασμένος. Aυτό δεν είναι καλό.
To Do You Love Me? (Part II) είναι το τελευταίο κομμάτι από τον 8o δίσκο του Αυστραλού μουσικού Nick Cave (και των Bad Seeds), Let Love In, ο οποίος κυκλοφόρησε στις 18 Απριλίου 1994 (λίγο πριν δώσω πανελλήνιες). Αποτελεί τη 'μαύρη' και θεοσκότεινη εκδοχή του opening track του δίσκου Do You Love Me?. To έχω ακούσει πάνω από 300 φορές στη ζωή μου, τις 298 από αυτές μόνος μου. Τις 2 που απομένουν με έναν πολύ καλό φίλο μου. Ελπίζω να τις θυμάται, γιατί εγώ έχω αρχίσει να ξεχνάω...
