με τον Perfume Genius
για το track 'I See A Darkness'
Νέα μουσική από την Anna Calvi, 4 ολόκληρα χρόνια έπειτα από τα soundtracks για την 5η και 6η season του Peaky Blinders.
Σε συνεργασία με τον Perfume Genius, μας δίνει μια πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα εκδοχή στο "I See A Darkness" του Bonnie Prince Billy, που είχε πρωτοκυκλοφορήσει το 1999. Πολύ καλό track, αλλά η αλήθεια είναι πως ύστερα από τόσο μεγάλο χρονικό διάστημα αποχής, περίμενα κάτι πιο "wow" και... τρομακτικό.
“So many songs are about romantic love,but I wanted to highlight the romance of the chosen family, the depth of connection that isn’t tethered to heteronormative ideals. It's such a powerful song about the yearning for intimacy. I love inhabiting other people's songs. When I sing someone else's words, I feel like I'm getting closer to myself somehow, because the songs I choose express something I can't articulate.”
