Sma Rag Da is back!
Οι ετοιμασίες για τον νέο της δίσκο είναι πυρετώδεις και το "Air Sickness Bag" αναμένεται να σκάσει μύτη κατά φθινόπωρο μεριά. Στο μεταξύ ένα νέο κομμάτι ήρθε να προλογίσει τον νέο αυτό δίσκο, να μας βάλει στο κλίμα και να μας δώσει μια πρώτη γεύση.
Πρόκειται για το "If You Were a Bird", ένα εξαιρετικά "δύσκολο" κομμάτι, με την έννοια ότι γεννήθηκε μέσα σε συνθήκες με πολύ λίγο φως. Η ίδια η Sma Rag Da (Σμαράγδα Αλεξανδρή) έχει αναφέρει ότι έγραψε το κομμάτι σε μια περίοδο τριών φάσεων, πριν, κατά τη διάρκεια και μετά από έναν βαρβάτο χωρισμό. Μπορείτε να πάτε στο βίντεο παρακάτω, στο 3.38 και να προσέξετε την σπαρακτική φωνή της να φτύνει σε μια φράση όλες τις απορίες ενός ερωτευμένου, ενώ μια κιθάρα στριγγλίζει ένα εθιστικό riff που ξεριζώνει τα παλιά φιλιά.
Κατά έναν παράξενο τρόπο, όταν τελείωσει η ακρόαση του κομματιού, θα νιώσεις ελαφρύς. Στα 4.30 λεπτά του κομματιού, θα πετάξεις πολλές από τις κοτρώνες που κουβαλάς στις τσέπες σου.
2,5 χρόνια μετά το "Wisdom Tooth", αυτή είναι η πρώτη μουσική κυκλοφορία της Sma Rag Da. Η αλλαγή στον ήχο είναι εμφανής και άκρως ενδιαφέρουσα, ενώ οι στίχοι παραμένουν εξαιρετικά κινηματογραφικοί. Όλα αυτά εντείνουν την ανυπομονησία μας για το νέο άλμπουμ.
