Single No. 2 από το επερχόμενο και πολυαναμενόμενο solo album του Matt!
Μετά την κυκλοφορία του lead single "Serpentine Prison" (θυμάσαι;), ήρθε η σειρά του "Distant Axis".
Δυο πολύ ενδιαφέροντα στοιχεία: O Matt δήλωσε πως το κομμάτι προέκυψε από ένα demo που του είχε στείλει ο Walter Martin (The Walkmen):
“Walt and I have stayed friends, and about three years ago we started passing ideas back and forth. Distant Axis started from a sketch Walt sent me named Savannah. I think it’s about falling out of touch with someone or something you once thought would be there forever.”.
Στοιχείο δεύτερο: το κομμάτι συνοδεύεται από υπεροχότατο βίντεο σκηνοθετημένο από τα αδέρφια Berninger, Matt και Tom.
Ο δίσκος κυκλοφορεί στις 2 Οκτωβρίου, COVID-19 επιτρέποντος.
